Once you’ve been to price a job, simply create the job in the PongoPay App. Creating a new job only takes a few minutes and can be done on site. It will automatically provide your Client with 

– A description of work
– A payment stage breakdown
– End Users Terms and Conditions. See e-contract
– An invite to make payment via the virtual Safe Deposit Box 

 

Once work starts, you can take photographs as evidence throughout the job and share these with your Client to keep them informed. This is done using the build update function.


When you complete a payment stage (or an entire job), simply press a button to request a payment release. Your Client can release this with one click. 

When you first open the PongoPay app, you’ll be taken through our quick and easy sign-up process to set up your account. 

 

This should only take a few minutes to complete and will require you to enter your name, date of birth and mobile number. You will also need to submit a photo of your driving license or passport as part of our Know Your Customer (‘KYC’) checks.* Please make sure that the details you enter match those on your photo-ID.

 

Please note that you can only register one account per user.

 

*The KYC check is a legal requirement for anti-money laundering purposes and to protect our users from fraud.

Once a job has been completed, the client will be asked to review the work and confirm that they are happy for the funds to be released to the tradesperson. If the client is unhappy, they can discuss changes that they would like made with the tradesperson and any additional costs these may incur. 

 

If the client and tradesperson are unable to come to an agreement on their own, they have the option to raise a formal dispute, whereby PongoPay may appoint an independent mediator to review the situation and reach an outcome which is satisfactory for both parties. Regular communication is one of the best ways to keep your clients happy. PongoPay makes it easy for you to communicate with your clients with our ‘build updates’ feature. 

 

Build updates can be sent to clients through the app, including a photo and description of the work, to keep your clients up to date when important tasks are completed.

 

PongoPay makes it safe and easy for clients to track and pay for construction projects directly from their phones. 

 

Making payments via PongoPay is simple for clients: when a job’s created they will be sent a download link which will allow them to review the job description, agree to the T&Cs and pay into our virtual safe deposit box all in one go. 

 

This gives clients legal protection and peace of mind in the knowledge that the funds won’t be released from the virtual safe deposit box until they’re satisfied that the work has been completed as agreed.
